Nevada Parole Recidivism Risk & Crime Severity Guidelines
The Parole Board is committed to using an evidence-based approach when making parole decisions.
The Board uses a statistically-validated objective instrument called the Nevada Risk Assessment to determine the risk factors that are associated with paroling each inmate.
There are a total of 12 static and dynamic factors that are evaluated when determining whether the inmate is a "Low", "Medium", or "High" risk.
This download includes the instructions that the Board uses when completing the risk assessment and a the Parole Risk Assessment form that must be completed.
