The Parole Board The Parole Board is committed to the utilization of "evidence-based practices" and uses an objective instrument called the Nevada Risk Assessment to determine the risk factors that are associated with paroling each inmate.

There are a total of 11 static and dynamic factors that are evaluated when determining whether the inmate is a "Low", "Medium", or "High" risk.
